Peter Laurelli teases his latest effort.

SIFF is an acronym for Surf & Inshore Fly Fishing. The SIFF series has been a ongoing project of trying to capture the feeling of the moments spent fly fishing the inshore waters in the Northeastern US and beyond. There is no goal or story, but to build a body of work through which I can remember and share my adventures for years to come. SIFF14 is the sixth edition of the series.

The full version of SIFF14 will be released in mid-February.

SIFF13: Islands

As always Peter delivers the goods.

SIFF13:Islands is the fifth edition in a series of independent projects to capture a year spent fly fishing surf and inshore waters . "SIFF" is simply short for Surf & Inshore Fly Fishing.

Here's Peter climbing back aboard the No Name with his multiple camera rigs.....I was fortunate to be with him when he shot some of his Christmas Island footage.

SIFF13: ISLANDS - Trailer

Islands are more than exotic destinations. SIFF13 covers a year dragging the cameras half way around the world, and close to home, chasing new species and reincarnating old experiences on geographic, man-made and metaphorical islands.

The full version will be out in mid-January 2014.

SIFF12: NORTHEAST

The full 20 minute version of Peter Laurelli's SIFF12: Northeast...

Each year I fish and film the inshore waters of the northeastern U.S. and produce a "movie" of the results. This is the full and final version of the Surf & Inshore Fly Fishing project covering the full year 2012.

As mentioned in the teaser, a season spent chasing these fish is only a series of events with no plot or story, but when you put these seasons together, year after year, the story becomes more clear; it's the story of your life, and how you've decided to live it.

Since posting it two weeks ago, Peter Laurelli's Surf and Inshore Fishing 2011 film has been viewed almost ten thousand times. We managed to get Peter to take short break from an early season striper session to join us for the 99th episode of The Schtick.
