Threatened fish take historic helicopter ride in Banff National Park

It’s only a three-minute ride, or a few kilometres as the crow flies, but it’s a historic move for both Banff National Park and the overall recovery of a species at risk.

Officials eye restoring westslope cutthroat trout to Camas Lake, Big Camas Creek

Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks is considering introducing westslope cutthroat trout to Camas Lake and Big Camas Creek.

Prior to stocking rotenone would be used to remove the Yellowstone cutthroat that currently reside in the lakes.
