Had an argument with a colleague in a biology class this semester about catch and release, she argued it was cruel, and that 90% of the fish died on release. I pointed out that 90% of journals state that mortality rates never exceed 10%, in worst cases 20%. Yet she still argued with me.

Yeah C&R works! But what it shows has about the same relevance as saying to beat someone up up once a year is harmless, when you see that person only once a year ...
