Chet Reneson has been named artist of the year by Trout Unlimited, Ducks Unlimited and the Atlantic Salmon Federation. An interview of Chet appeared in the first issue of Gray's Sporting Journal back in 1975.

I got my formal art training in an 8th grade algebra class, where I was often caught doodling and drawing dragsters. I was banished to art class but was soon returned to algebra to continue my art training. No longer drawing dragsters, I have devoted the past few years attempting to master the art of pen & ink and colored pencil and as would be expected, I have chosen as my subject matter all things piscatorial.
Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at 12:02AM Artist Susan Luckey Higdon first saw this Tim Pask photo at one of Dylan Tomine's steelhead readings.
Susan contacted Tim and asked if she could paint the image and Tim agreed and then proceeded to forget about it. Well Susan finished the painting which is now hanging in her gallery in Bend.
