This month's feature story is a chapter from Sean Gallagher's two-volume book, Wild Steelhead: The Lure and Lore of a Pacific Northwest Icon. Wild River Press provided the WSC a sneak-peek at Chapter Eight, an interview with wild steelhead advocate Bill McMillan. You'll get a glimpse into McMillan's early angling days, a first-hand account of a steelhead McMillan caught in 1961, and the meat of the chapter: how native winter-run steelhead can be restored to Puget Sound, most notably the Skagit River basin.
