2015 International Grand Isle Tarpon Rodeo

Save The Tarpon was in Sarasota on Thursday, June 25 to call on the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission to enforce regulations adopted by the FWC designed to halt the use of foul-hooking devices in Boca Grande Pass. How are the "jiggers" skirting the law? Did the FWC listen? Will the FWC make good on its promise to pursue those who've been openly flaunting the law?
Save the Tarpon has launched a gofundme appeal so they can contnue their fight against a SLAPP lawsuit filed by the PTTS.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is telling its law enforcement officers that the “new and improved” tarpon jig (see photo) that turned up recently in Boca Grande Pass isn’t new and it isn’t improved.
It’s illegal.
