Smallest Fish Ever Caught On Rod and Reel

According to World Records Academy Andy Pelphrey caught a Blacknose Dace measuring 2.4 in. long. and o.9 in. round, weighing in at o.oo8 lbs. (3.5 grams).

When asked about how it felt to have caught the smallest fish ever recorded Pelphrey said: "if it was good enough for God to make then it's good enough for me to catch if it's sent my way.

White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emmanuel was given an Asian carp as a farewell gift from colleagues before the former presidential aide resigned in order to run for mayor in his home town Chicago.

Panama is first Central American country to prohibit purse seining within its waters 

The Billfish Foundation and OCEARCH applaud Panama for becoming the first of the seven nations of Central America to prohibit purse seining in its waters.  This action follows Panama's signing on to an agreement  that urges all of the nations to create appropriate sustainable management plans for billfish and other popular game fish vital to growing sportfishing and tourism in the region.
