This video is about Annapolis, Maryland artist, Charles Lawrance. An avid fisherman and professional painter, Charles has blended the two arts and is now creating a fish prints from those he catches. The process is based on Japanese fish printing called gyotaku.
Charles' studio is located in the Annapolis Arts District at West St.
Someone left a freshly-carved 6-foot high wood carving of a salmon at the front door of the Issaquah Salmon Hatchery. The chainsaw art made from cedar was found with no note and nothing to indicate if the carving was a gift or where it came from.
