It's a bit of a mystery, but 40 percent of the tagged Wind River summer steelhead tallied at Bonneville Dam never show up at Shipherd Falls, just 11 miles away.

Well, I'm neither a steelhead nor a fisheries biologist and thus can't comment on the 40 percent (the natives and/or gill netters probably can?!), but thanks for reminding everyone of Dylan's excellent essay. Always a worthwhile read.
