Angler and his $800 rod are reunited

Clint Austin / caustin@duluthnews.com
Paul Kosmatka of Duluth was swept into Lake Superior while fishing the mouth of the Lester River last week. Though he was rescued several minutes later, Kosmatka lost his fly fishing rod in the process of keeping his head above water. Anglers snagged the rod the next day and tracked Kosmatka down.

Anything for a looper!
Lucky bastard!!
I have fished that spot where he went in and it goes from a couple feet of water, then drops straight down. it is very hard to see when the water is colored. he is very lucky.
$800 rod and not a nickel's worth of common sense.
