An Exxon Mobile pipeline ruptured Friday Night releasing toxic oil for 30 minutes into the Yellowstone River. The release originated from a 12-inch crude pipeline that runs from Silver Tip to Billings.
The Billings Gazette is posting updates.
Exxon officials have estimated that up to 42,000 gallons of crude oil escaped.
A group of 30 anglers are upset about new regulations reducing the number and size of trout that can be caught on the Yellowstone River between Yellowstone National Park and Billings.
Fish, Wildlife and Park officials say better luck next time, point out the proposed change only garnered two comments when published back in August.
