Regulators warned Exxon of safety violations on now-ruptured pipeline. The line was also shut down in May due to high flows but for some reason not during the most recent high water.

Exxon Mobil Corp. acknowledged under political pressure Monday that the scope of its pipeline leak into the Yellowstone River could extend far beyond a 10-mile stretch of the famed waterway.

The source of "official" information at the Japanese nuclear disaster was the nuclear power company.
The source of "official" information at the Yellowstone River oil spill is Exxon.
Does anyone actually think that the information that Exxon is releasing will be accurate and timely?
