Regulators warned Exxon of safety violations on now-ruptured pipeline. The line was also shut down in May due to high flows but for some reason not during the most recent high water.

Exxon Mobil Corp. acknowledged under political pressure Monday that the scope of its pipeline leak into the Yellowstone River could extend far beyond a 10-mile stretch of the famed waterway.
