July was a an unprecedented month for slabbage. 10 of 16 entrants made it to the voting round. Truly great fish didn't make the cut for one reason or another.

Thanks for the 706 votes Chum Nation - nice community contribution for sure! June was a tough one. As such, we're making an executive decision to announce Co-Winners.
Sammy Hignell-Stark (the people's choice) and Alex Lovett-Woodsum (the choice where pure slabbage simply cannot be ignored) should be proud. Many a entry was worthy and these ladies kicked a very solid amount of buttocks.

A recent dispatch from Patagonia Fly Fishing Ambassador Mikey Weir.
Just got back from a little mission into a remote canyon here in Nor Cal. I was mostly there to film some climbing but i managed some fishing time too. The river was HUGE but i managed to pull some really nice trout. These two were the highlights. I'm guessing that female was over 12 lbs and the male was over 15. He gave me a nasty bite. I could barley hold him out of the water. I think he's one of the biggest i've ever caught. After that i just put my rod down. That was the trout i've been looking for for years.

First Place: Sickles shocks the world with a Columbia trib slab of steel that still has us shaking our heads. Congrats Sam, you've just won a Patagonia Freewheeler.
Second Place: Beatty is knighted by a insanely large King and takes home some River Armor as a result.
Third Place: Miller goes Tierra Del Fuego on our asses and lands a Waterproof Hat and a Rust Long Sleeve TShirt.
