Sockeye spawns in Metolius River for 1st time in 45 years

A fish biologist confirmed the first spawning sockeye in the Metolius River in over 45 years on Thursday.
Mike Gauvin from the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife spotted the fish while conducting annual kokanee spawning surveys in the Metolius River near the town of Camp Sherman.
