An incredible collection of Ted Williams's personal memorabilia, including a number of fishing and fly fishing related items, are going up for public auction this Saturday at Fenway Park. Better yet, you won't have to travel to fabulous Fenway to take part, bids will also be accepted online and by phone. Proceeds of the auction, which are expected to be in the multiple millions, will go to the Jimmy Fund, a charity that was near to Williams' heart and supports the fight against cancer in children.
The angling items are lots 474 - 548 and can be viewed by hitting the link below. The amazing angling collection runs the spectrum of Williams's personal trophy fish mounts, fly fishing reels, tournament award plaques, fly rods, flies and even his fishing vests and fly tying desk. As a bonus many of the items are also accompanied by vintage photos of Williams.
