No one would have expected a Florida fishing hole to become the subject of a small naval battle, but when Lawrence Lamee and his brother began arguing about the spot, that's just what happened. Heated words were exchanged, honor ruffled, and then brother turned upon brother.

"He saw what he thought was going to be dinner, and took a shot at it. He either missed dinner or hit the rock right next to it, and that bullet ricocheted back and hit him in the head," said Greg Elwin of the Thurston County Sheriff's Office.

The maximum penalty for shooting a fish with a gun is one year in jail.

Teton Valley Guide Missing

Some sad news coming out of the Teton Valley which just hosted the C4C Tournament.

A fishing guide and fixture of the Teton Valley, Idaho, angling community remained missing Thursday after his boat capsized the day before on the South Fork of the Snake River, a law enforcement official said.

Victor resident Robert Merrill, 49, was guiding two clients on a float trip from the Husky Gas Station to the Spring Creek boat ramp on the upper reach of the river at about 6:25 p.m. Wednesday when the boat capsized near the confluence of the South Fork and Rainey Creek, officials said. The collision knocked Merrill and his two clients into the water.

Large beaver attacks man while fishing

Georgia wildlife officials said they are searching for a large beaver that bit a man on the leg and arm while he was fishing on Lake Lanier in Forsyth County.
