Giving steelhead trout room to roam

With the backing of several state wildlife agencies, the fisheries enhancement group is working to reach an agreement with an oil company that owns a Price Canyon oil field to allow completion of a fish passage project on Pismo Creek in San Luis Obispo.

Barriers such as the one in Pismo Creek are one of the main reasons steelhead are struggling along the Central Coast of California.
