Invasive trout to die in Elk Creek

Yellowstone National Park fish biologists will eradicate nonnative brook trout from Elk Creek beginning today.

One day we will reminisce about the amazing browns and rainbows we caught in YNP as this is the start of the backslide down a slippery slope of meddling in not just the fish but the entire food chain that supports them. It's been real.

How about getting a great place like YNP free of invasive species? Thats what these brookies represent as well as your beloved browns. I think its great.
