Yup, that is a shame, especially considering all the good work he actual does for conservation, supporting efforts like research into sawfish, donating and supporting grouper moon project, and generally advocating for billfish everywhere. This just proves my point that people, even good people, can succumb to greed where fish are concerned. The trophy hunters that kill granders, the spearfishers who used to double-team goliath grouper, the fisherman who fish grouper spawning holes to extinction, these are all just people who might not have done these things had there been conservation minded legislation in place to stop them. Slot-limits on spearfishing. Full closure of spawning aggregation site, and a simple no-take on billfish. Period.
