Unbelievable

Thousands of sharks fins are laid out across the sidewalk in Sheung Wan, Hong Kong for airing and sorting.

Sometimes I really do believe that humans need to be eradicated from this planet. This Shark Fin soup is a joke in that the fin itself is used merely for spice and to increase the price/value of the soup. It is completely possible to make the soup minus the fin, but then again it wouldn't be called Shark Fin Soup and they couldn't charge that much.

This is just horrible. It always amazes me that as intelligent as we are, we can be so ignorant.

Why isn't Discovery covering this during shark week? It's always , "Man-eater" or "When sharks attack". This kind of thing needs to be seen globally. Let's see if we can get a contact at Discovery to petition for more help publicizing this disgusting practice.

Why does Asia feel so entitled to ruin the whole world's ecosystem. They have ruined theirs and are now branching out to ours. They are being caught all over the world with Illegal rigs and there isn't much being done about it.

That is horrific- Sorry to point a not so PC finger, but Japan and China are absolutely decimating the worlds oceans. I love sushi but have stopped eating it for this very reason.
