Study Warns of Economic Damage in a Keystone Pipeline Spill
Thursday, March 15, 2012 at 12:01AM
A new report from the Cornell University’s Global Labor Institute shows how the Keystone XL tar sands pipeline is an economic liability with the potential to cause significant job losses from a major tar sands spill.
The report also concluded that spills from pipelines of tar sands-derived oil are three times more likely to occur per mile as spills of crude oil. And when they do, researchers say, the damage is greater, the public health risks larger, the clean-up harder, the costs higher.

And lets not forget the proposed Northern Gateway pipeline and its associated tanker traffic.

I grew up within eyesight of British Columbia and had the opportunity to fish with my family all around that beautiful Province. Today, B.C. has decided to directly discriminate against U.S. anglers by imposing their class I and class II fees on top of an already expensive fishing license. As a result, I leave Canada to fight their own environmental issues.
They will do it because someone needs to say "I told you so"
