No decision coming on Klamath dams removal

In a blow to dam removal advocates, Interior Secretary Ken Salazar has postponed any decision regarding the removal of the Klamath dams.

With no authorization from Congress, Interior Secretary Ken Salazar said Monday that he won't be able to meet next month's deadline for deciding whether to remove four dams on the Klamath River in Oregon and California to help salmon and set up an agreement for sharing water between fish and farms.

Salazar said in a statement that work will continue on scientific studies, as will efforts to get authorization through Congress.

Drugs kill brain cells and cause you to become a left wing environmental activist instead of a conservationist. The magnitude of this zealotry to the democratic party is laughable. Why not practice what you preach and go live in a cave.
sincerely,
conservative conservationist

Spoken like a couple of conservatives that just look at the picture and don't read the article.

Nothing like ad hominem attacks on a handful of Klamath Tribe people to show that you are not really following the issues surrounding the removal of the dams. The choice to remove the dams happens to be a fiscally conservative move by PacifiCorp because it would cost more to make improvements to the dams than to just take them out. If you would have taken the time to read the news article you'd see that, "[PacifiCorp]... remained committed to the agreement [to remove the dams] as the best solution for their customers." Further, the Keno Dam which directly benefits irrigators will be left in place. The Klamath people were just demonstrating in Omaha to remind PacifiCorp shareholders that dam removal is still the best option despite the delay in Congress. I understand it's more entertaining to be polarizing and partisan but shouldn't we try to be less critical of one another on these issues? Shouldn't we stop parroting the shit that we're fed by the news media and the crooks in congress and research the issues ourselves? That would be too much work I suppose.
