And make no mistake, people do die from fugu poisoning. About five people a year make puffer fish their last meal, and many more get violently sick from it.

puffer! caught i nice puffer in cabo off the shore going for roosters, i was getting ready to release the puffer when some local cabo boys came up, now i dont speak spanish but i know they wanted the fish, now i am a catch a release guy but thee guys looked as if this was prime rib on christmas so i let them take the fish, pretty hard trying to explain to them this fish will kill you when they dont understand a word your saying! i am sure they knew what it was. i know i know we shouldnt kill fish but these guys dont fish for sport they fish for substanance so i figured if anything the fish would go to their families . o ya puffers teeth will straight up crush a metal spoon into a 90* degree angle. be careful!
