The laker from a few days was in reality a much larger fish. A pity that someone knew how to take a good shot for this one. It's all about the camera work to make a photo like that.
That is a very very nice fish. I bet it ripped and hopefully swam off strong. Good work Aaron, seems you are always getting big fish. It looks 20 plus with the hold he is giving. But really, who knows. The elbows are hidden, head pushed forward, even the fingertips on the Ieft hand are hidden. I wish the longarm photos would fall by the wayside. If everyone took pictures of fish trying to showcase their actual size I think our fishing expectations regarding fish size, especially for steelhead would be much more realistic.
I'm as guilty as anyone of the long arm, but lately find myself enjoying pictures showing fish held close to the angler straight broadside over a well executed long arm.
my dudes, 20 pound fish are hooked all the time here, i myself have caught many fish measuring over 38'' in length they say " 20 pounders are 38 " " who really knows but a fish over 38 is atleast 18 pounds, thats proven. lots of fish close to thirty are caught every year on the hoh. bet me on that one, you can say whatever you want about refrencing a body part of a human to a fish but that doesnt really work does it? so keep drooling those who are haters . those of you who know what is really in our state keep doing what you do!
i usually hate everyone jumping on the long arm photo complaint, but it looks looks like you literally could jump through that guys net and the fish has wider shoulders than the angler. great fish anyway, but distorted picture. whatever, better than fish i catch.

It's all in the pose. The fish was really only 16".
Holy Shizzzzznit Batman!!!!
You can tell that fish is pretty big by looking at the caudal peduncle. It is at least 18# to be sure.
All you whining over how this isn't that big are dumb.
All you that are defending the post of a hero shot to the net are dumb,
Fish pics like this are DUMB.
