Dec. SOTM Entry: Indo-Pacific Permit

Ray Montoya is an American that works in Oman.  He's been chasing Indo-Pacific permit for years.  This is likely the biggest/cleanest he's come across.  Nice pic.  Better video...

That is inspiring and fly fishing at its best, from the epic scenery, and so alien from the west fisheries in look and vibe, and of course amazing fish. Truly awesome.

The Arabian coast between UAE and Yemen stretches 1600 kilometers, which basically comprises Oman. This particular beach flat is a six hour drive from Muscat (my home) through the interior desert, followed by an hour hike to reach this sea. The camping and stars at night are phenomenal.
