I am sure they are really sweet, light, durable, etc. But at what point with all the new innovations and technology can us typical fly casters really notice the difference of a 20% lighter rod, considering the one you currently have is probably 20% lighter than the previous model year.
Biggest thing I notice when I buy a rod is how much less money I have, which is why I still feel like a baller when I buy mid-level St. Croix and Orvis rods. Most all rods are just simply expensive, but some are just expensive, while others are stupid expensive.
