I`m a flyfisher and i say that Is very easy to reject electrical towers among the patagonia landscapes or wherever, but could anybody suggests another cllean source of energy in a sismic country like Chile after Fukushima earthq that provides energy enough for development??
Djove, this is the problem. NO, there is no answer to that other than "don't develop" anymore. The number one problem this planet will face is over population of humans. All other problems stem from this one problem. If we cannot stem our growth then we can expect shit to go down. Our future is written based on our uncontrolled growth and our apparent ignorance of the real problem. One day the planet will reach its carry capacity and the problem will solve itself as there is a mass extinction of humans.
So Queenqueg,
That's an interesting arguement especially seeing it's coming from your heated house, with hot water, electric stove, tv, lighting and 24 hours access to electricity. So typically american of you. Environmental awareness is good as long as it doesn't effect your way of life, but those not fortunate enough to live in the guilded shithole of the US must continue to eek out an exsistance so you can feel better about the mess your country has made the world.
