So I really do not know. What if anything can you do to keep the shark from getting the tarpon and the tarpon living?

Dudes, you need to break it off before the fish gets eaten. If i have a sea lion running at my salmon- I break it off and save the fishes life. I don't understand why so many Tarpon fisherman let their beloved fish get trounced by bigger fish just so they can get a picture?

Did I really hear him say "grab him" when the shark was turning away?

Right on Stripah, all these dumbasses post these videos on YouTube of tarpon getting eaten. I fish in the Boca Grande pass area every year and hundreds get eaten everyday by idiot fisherman. Very sad. Love them tarpon

Great video. Yes the tarpon got eaten by a hammerhead. Even the "best" tarpon fisherman admit this happens from time to time. Even when you do break them off after you realize they are worn down to 15% as shark is chasing them. Guess what sh*& happens. Sometimes they get eaten, while I woudn't encourage it....unfortunately it happens. Nobody is catching tarpon to eat them...they are a catch and release fish. Do I think these guys were trying to let a hammer eat the tarpon no.....
