F3T Missoula Crowd Reaction
Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at 12:00AM
A clip of the crowd reaction in Missoula to the Musky hoist at the end of Zero to Hero.
Missoula sent a Fly Fishing Film Tour attendance record, 950 packed the sold out Wilma theater. Check out Yukon goes Fishing for a show review.
The full length Zero to Hero DVD is now available for purchase from Third Year Fly Fisher.

Yeah, it was a packed house. Sweet videos, though I know many of us were feeling a little trout deprived. Can't wait for next year's tour.
Fly fishing movie? This sounds like a theatre full of drunkards whooping foolish cries at a trash fish! Anyone attending this show clearly doesn't understand the sport. Gone are the days of the quill bodied dry fly, gossamer tippets and gentlemanly banter over a glass of scotch. I heard no mention of the upstream presentation to rising trout, much less of proper hackling techniques!
I for one wouldn't be caught dead in the top row of the Wilma's balcony chugging coldsmoke like water and heckling the screen for more hookups. Nor would any of my friends.
I was seriously pissed off at the Musky movie until near the end when I figured out it was a joke. Then it seemed brilliant. A bit more trout/steelhead and less salt would help the movie. Maybe someone could make a parody movie about Andy and his scotch-drinking friends that was somehow as brilliant as the two dudes in the Musky movie. Even more brilliant, a steelhead movie about not catching anything.
How do you consider musky a trash fish? Ever catch one? Or seen one in a river or lake? Just wandering Andy Simon
Best idea yet, a movie about not catching steelhead. Good one.
Andy clearly got his butt whipped by a fish that wasn't a trout (most likely a bluegill) and therefore will never attempt to try anything but cast red quills upstream for stocker bows. He also probably got made fun of for wearing tweed to the F3T and now hates everyone who enjoys a good time.
I invite anyone here to try catching a muskie on the fly. It's like a fresh water rooster fish....... Great film
