Thou Shall Not Disrespect SOTY

Unfortunately, we've been investigating some less than bueno behavior in the 2011 SOTY voting.  We'll be deactivating the voting until we sort this out.

Call in reps from Acorn. They'll know how to sort things...

Bummer...

Glad to know that the Atlantic shouldnt have 50% of the votes.....

February 1, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterBHARM

Nice,
I'd be surprised if it did not start back during the December voting. That Atlantic is not that special yet it surged out in front, out of nowhere. No accusations, but a little strange. I would start you investigation there.

Here we go again...The fact that Mattt knows over 500 local fisherman in Nova Scotia who all voted for him makes you all jealous.....get your heads out of your ass and stand up and applaud the Atlantic. Fish of a lifetime...Get over yourselves....

I have a stellar voting record....
...along with bridges and property that just so happen to be on the market

I don't see it being the Atlantic at fault . The Brown trout had 50% of the votes with only 3 marks on the global map ?. The repectful fish was voted in the lead and then all votes disappeared other than the brown trouts votes ?. That is where the problem is .

The question is how did an Average Atlantic as best become the December fish and now dominating 2 far superior fish!

Mark Bove, flosser extraordinaire.

Time to require registered voting?

February 1, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterRoderick Haig-Brown

"over 500 local fisherman in Nova Scotia who all voted for him"

That's funny. Who knew SOTY came down to a piddly 1000 total votes?

February 1, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterRoderick Haig-Brown

let the people that won each month decide let them vote for there top 3. 20 points for a first place vote 10 for second 5 for third. all 12 people should be allowed to vote and participate. no voting for themselves.the one most points wins easy to eliminate the cheaters. ......... if i could i chose i would pick the shark, outside the box and cool as hell

Bove you disrespect your haunts by putting that shit on the chum!

All due respect to each angler and their respective catches but the Gerrard is by far the most exceptional... Look into it.

Well thats funny Moldychum has a website to direct to to facebook and evryone you know to get in and vote and to get others to look at the site . This is the first ever I herd of this site through the atlantic salmon ( SOTY ) . Go to nsflyguy.ca ( Maritime FLY fisherman , and acoss the world from a very respectful non profit 100% fly fishing forum with zero commercials to fund their righteous belief ) If you don't have that many friends well maybe people should know where you caught your fish to get the respect it deserved .I will gaurantee you that if Matts fish loses , it will be a loss for the SOTY . As there will never be another entry from the Maritimes . Guys catch browns all of 8-12 lbs evry day ( Till it gets too warm of course ) that are wild and one last year tapped out over 18lbs . And you never herd of it cause ..... well we are fishing for the next big one and never herd of this site . For each and evry hole that Nova Scotian has for fishing there is at least 3 guys waiting to pass through the pool to catch that one fish that had 3000 flies swing over its nose to have that one hook up . That is on average (Low Balled big time ) And to have people say it is not worthy of SOTY . Well boys/girls maybe you should have voted .

And if you are a angler and can say you know about 3% of the the flyfisherman within a 200 mile radius ...... well your votes will go up ..... Plain , but simple

I've never seen so much commotion over a such a no brainer - it's a 25 pound wild Atlantic Salmon Versus 3 overstuffed hatchery trout. The westerners can hate it all they want but give me a break.

Thou shall not waste any more of my time.

I didn't see a list of rules, so, the most votes wins? right? I didn't know were we voting in a presidential election.. I know... I know.. Let's have a re-vote!!! Better yet. Let's a have re-re-vote!

what a farce!

".....an average at best Atlantic...." ????????????

WOW!That one single statement tells me ALL I need to know in regards to your angling knowledge. Please do tell where I might catch such average specimens so that i might join you spending the rest of my days in such ignorant bliss.

Genetic pool is quite thin here......Atlantic is the bomb

February 2, 2011 | Unregistered CommenterKoRP
