Shot primarily from a helicopter, filmmaker Peter Mettler's "Petropolis: Aerial Perspectives on the Alberta Tar Sands" offers an unparalleled view of the world's largest industrial, capital and energy project.

Calling them "Tar Sands" shows the propaganda that is being continually passed around, especially since there is no tar in the Oil Sands. No one seems to note that the amount of sulfur that is produced by the oil sands is essential to fertiziler, and in turn food prices. Eliminate the oil sands, and millions risk starvation...

Moldychum should watch the propaganda they seem so eager to spread and stick to fishing.

Just to clarify, that is a photo of a man made tailings pond, made specially to hold sludge. And as far as tar, tar is a man made product, a derivative of coal, not oil.
