"While truly giant, the arapaima are disappearing from the Amazon." I can't imagine encounters like this continue that trend. Notice they don't show the fish actually swim away.

And for the record I'm not a catch and release fanatic. I'm thinking those two guides probably could have fed their families for a day or two on that thing.

Yea, I picked up that weak sauce too. The arapaima is disappearing so we think it's a great idea to stick your arm into its gill plate and jump on it. That guy, whoever he is, is a complete douche nozzle, anone who refers tohimself as a fish warrior should be pubicly stoned.
