Helping to Train Bristol Bay's Next Generation of Fly Fishing Guides

Nine youngsters from the Bristol Bay region took part in the 2010 Bristol Bay Fly Fishing and Guide Academy sponsored in part by Trout Unlimited Alaska and the Nushagak-Mulchatna Wood-Tikchik Land Trust. The goal of the academy was to train local youth to work in Bristol Bay's lucrative sport fishing industry and to become conservation ambassadors for their beautiful but threatened region.

What a great video and message, I applaud those that are trying to send a message to those kids and their families, they have a resource that can never be duplicated. I just hope they stand fast, and that they know a industry like this is a quick fix, in boosting their economy, This won't last long but if they take care of what they have it will last forever.
