Great fish, but not sure how that fish beat a world record muskie. Yeah, the chick's nice to look at, but better Friday Pin Up than slab of the month. World record muskie should have won.

To say that votes were swayed do to that fact that the "catcher" is a pretty lady is true. But if you think about it why not? What guy doesn't want his wife or girlfriend to be as stoked to catch fish as the lady in this photo is. We should all know by now that SOTM is not all about the fish and its size. Photo quality, facial expression and fish handling are only a few of the qualifications that SOTM must go through to be judged. So considering all of the factors......Congrats on a great win! obviously you have never had a girlfriend that likes to fish. good bye fishing trips with the guys, alone time on the river, 3 rowers... hello 24hr. a day girlfriend time. Sounds great, until you are in that situation. and fish handling etc. doesn't matter. at all, ever on this site. tired of people bringing that up. as if you were there on the river to judge them.

Who cares if your girlfriend fly fishes. I think it's awesome that mine does and I enjoy the amount of time we spend together as a result. Wether we are on the river or on vacation in the salt, it's definitely worth it and makes oure relationship great. You just sound like a bitter, lonely man.

Why there has to be a disconnect between two people and their relationship is beyond me. And immidietaly because I mention that I am proud my girlfriend is a fly fisher your only insult is to question my masculinity. We may not spend 24 hours together but after 10 years of a happy marriage and many fishing trips I pride myself in what I have.
