Freash water Strippers are sterile BTW and where this guy fishes is where he belongs..

In most fresh water stripers are not sterile, In fact they try and spawn in most lakes, head'n into the headwaters, and rivers feeding the lake when the water is between 58-60deg . How ever the eggs of stripers have to sofftly tumble for a period of up to 48hrs , prior to hatching. Becouse of the bottom in most headwater rivers, unlike inlets with sand bottoms in the ocean, this is not possible. So In most lakes, stripers can spawn, But canot reproduce.
