Mobile Bay Keepers:

http://www.mobilebaykeeper.org/

One of the only gulf coast organizations that is part of the watershed alliance.

The other one is Bayoukeeper.

I know the lady who runs baykeeper has steered all of that organization toward oil spill work cleanup and prevention.

Don't forget to also add tshirts that say:
F- the EPA
F- the MMS
F- Obama
F- Bush II (and I)
F- Clinton I (and II)
F- Republicans
F- Democrats
F- Unions
F- Oil Companies
F- The Man!

...and most importantly F- ME for buying this sh*t and putting it in my $40k SUV that I drive 100 miles round trip to go fish some pristine stream and kill native fish.

Ohh this is so sad - and you are so absolutely right
F- us humans - we constantly spoil everything around us, very strange considering we are dependent on this planet!!!

Go and look at the cars in your local stream access. Suburban's, escalades, Tahoes, excursions, hummers. never a prius or something that gets less than 20 MPG. You're all so full of fucking shit.

June 3, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterHow about fuck you

The tee shirt faggots bank account. You don't like oil, go buy a horse.

I'm designing a new tee shirt that expresses your outrage and will make you popular with women who don't shave their legs or armpits and it only costs $50.00 and I promise that every penny from sales will go to my favorite charity, me. It says "Save the earth, kill yourself"

A horse. LOL.

... importing all those drugs. Now, were did I leave my bong and coke and heroin snorting equipment.

Maybe someone should ask......what, specifically, is a portion of proceeds?

Yeah everyones full of shit but you.... huh buddy? Isnt that right? You know the computer youre using burns gas too...almost every part of our society relies on oil in some way including the food you stuff down that little bitch mouth.

Get over yourself, And the rest of you stop being homos about the blame. BP spilled the oil. Deal with it and quit trying to rationalize it through whatever retarded political spectrum you view the world.

Concerned, thanks... The only reason that we haven't picked an effort yet, is because we wanted recommendations from people that have 1st hand knowledge of the reputable charities/ efforts. We don't really want to get involved with a politically driven effort. We want the $ to go 100% towards clean up, not someones pockets. After the Haiti mess, we want to be careful. As of now, we are watching the following thread http://www.fliesandfins.com/postt1982.html, and speaking with people who live in the Panhandle, Alabama, and La. We are down in the Tampa area, and havent seen the effects yet, other than in the offshore closures.

Just so you know, I drive a crappy 1998 Ford Explorer, so I guess I do own an SUV. I drive it to where I work for PODS, back and forth 6 days a week. It probably worth around $1500.00. Skinny Water Culture doesn't give me or anyone else involved a paycheck yet. Hope I can do it full time one day. Thats all.

Read above dickbag. And I would rather ride a bike or walk than drive a Prius. I buy used American.

"Maybe someone should ask......what, specifically, is a portion of procee"

Good question. We will have them printed this weekend. We need to make enough for ourselves to reinvest some into making more if the sales get going good, help pay for our humble expenses like warehouse rent, phone, vary limited advertising, gas (irony), and a few other minor things. Right now we are looking at between $4.00 and $6.00 a shirt to go towards an effort that is cleaning up. Remember, we know many people effected, and will likely be effected as well. We will also be helping with the clean up ourselves, because we know that BP isn't going to do what they should entirely. We dont hate oil, we hate the way BP has handled this entire mess. Its bullshit. Its crazy that some of you are mad at us, when we are about to lose our entire fishing as we know it, and some already have. For a long time to.

We run this business from a 100.00 a moth cramped office, in our spare time. We have a passion for the fishing culture, and will always reflect that in what we do.

We hated the crappy t shirts we were being forced to wear, so we are just trying to do it our way. We DON'T use cheap ass blanks, nor do we ever look at another fishing design, and say, "we need to do that" Its proven in what we make. If you don't like it, thats fine. We do, and we all know that its not going to make us rich.

Thanks for all of the responses. If you have a legitimate suggestion of where this $ should go, feel free to email me directly vince@skinnywaterculture.com... If you want to tell me directly that we are getting rich of this mess, or you think that we are full of shit, call me 727-423-5465. Anytime. I will answer any of your questions.

June 3, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterVince

.... It doesn't look like anybody wants to help you profit from this massive tragedy, does it. And who'd want to wear a shit that says fuck on it in public anyway. I guess you thought this free advertising would have sold a few shirts, but it doesn't look like its turning out that way. Maybe you shouldn't look to profit from someone else's misery, you know 11 people died. And it wasn't a British Petroleum owned rig. The rig was owned by Transocean. But I'm sure you knew that, right?

June 3, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterGee Vince.......

Vince, it's not that you're full of shit... its that we are all full of shit. Don't point the finger at BP and hide from the real problem here...

We, and our culture of 'me', are the real problem. If this shit really frustrates you or pisses you off (everyone with a brain say aye) then you had better do some pretty damn serious soul searching about whether you have spent your life as an active part of the problem or simply indifferent to the problem. After that soul searching very few have the right to wear a f-BP shirt as opposed to a F-ME shirt.... for clarity, I ain't preaching from the high horse, I deserve the F-ME shirt too.

June 3, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterDon't Forget

This shirt was never expected to come without its criticisms. We are just saying how we feel as actual residents of the Gulf Coast. There is not a person that I know that lives here that hasn't thought this in there head at least once. Anybody who feels that this couldn't have been handled much better by bp is fooling themselves.

Yeah, we all do. Agree 100%. I am not perfect what so ever. If we get to donate some $ and our actual own labor towards the clean up, I will feel good about it,

And for anyone interested, it is looking like the proceeds will be going to http://www.seabirdsanctuary.com/. They are legit and local to us.

All who think this is for us to rake in profits and drive out into the sunset. You simply dont understand that is not how we work. Your comments are welcome, but if you knew how small we were you probably wouldnt waste your time.

June 3, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterVince

It has just been determined that we are allocating $10.00 from every shirt to www.seabirdsanctuary.com. Please feel free to donate to them if you don't like the shirt or the shirts message. Thanks for the support!

June 3, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterVince

you guys are a trip...EVERYONE knows the rig was owned by transocean...dick....but BP is responsible for it's upkeep, that is a fact. If I rent a lawnmower from Home Depot and the bitch starts flinging parts off and I keep running the thing eventually it is going to break! I think I would be to blame for not stopping and checking the thing out or just taking it back. BP new the rig had problems in more than 16 areas but refused to stop pumping or invest any money into fixing the problems. After all this the he has the ball to come on national tv and say, "I'm sick of all this, I wish it was over worse than anyone! I would like to have my life back." Seriously!!! He would like to have HIS life back!! The poor guy, I feel so bad for him..

I know we all make mistakes but it is how we handle them that sets us apart. BP is handling this like they dont give a fuck, if you really don't think thats true then you really are not staying on top of this issue. They lie to public, so much that our own government has to correct them..ha. They are not paying any of the captains that lent them a hand, taking there own boats out to try and help stop the oil from spreading and they have a total of 9 people wiping off grass in the marshes with cleaning cloths...are you fuckin serious!!

All of this aside, lets say this happened to Shell, and Shell was immediatley on it, always up front with the public and you could genuinely tell that they really wanted to get this fixed and they constantly reassured the public that they will help them get there lives back...Do you think they would have made a FUCK SHELL shirt.....probably not.... just check yourself fucktard

Vince - I just checked out the site, you guys make some good stuff. I like that the admins on here highlight small fishing-related companies, but i wish they did more of it. Oh and for future reference - your efforts are very noble, but I would not try to take on every poster on this website. Comments will and always do come from every conceivable side of every opinion with equally asinine and useless arguments, and responding to them only validates them and adds fuel to the fire. You can never please everyone, just do your thing, fight the good fight, and ignore the haters.

June 4, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterFishin'Terp

Fishin'Terp, Thanks. I just get a little too passionate about it because it's my baby. I appreciate you taking the time to check out the rest of our site. We are very small, but are learning pretty quickly and have a pretty large vision. Not large in the terms of $ signs, but large in the terms of being pioneers in what we do, rather than following what everyone else does. Eventually, when we get into some cut and sew stuff, we think we will be able to change the game a little!

June 4, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterVince

This is just a bite of another design!
Us versus Them did the ORIGINAL FUCK BP shirt yall just borrowed the idea

Its nice that you readjusted your proceeds retroactively, hope the $ actually make it there.
After looking at your website: what the hell is maximum solar opacity; this has nothing to do with UPF. You are just a chronic grifter of other peoples ideas, with some bs mixed in. You dont sell cheap blanks but 4.5 oz is a flismsy as it gets. All I can say is WOW i heard of low brow but you my friend take the cake. Just remember what goes around comes around

June 5, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterBogart

No idea who Us vs Them is, but they must be a sick ass fishing related company who is being directly affected by this spill. Props to them if they made a similar shirt. Never saw theirs, ever.

You seem like a fashion guru, who can feel a shirt through a computer! hahaha! Soryy bro, in Florida, we dont want that crappy 6.1 oz heavy cotton shit. We like our shirts light, and softer than that cardboard that you are wearing!

50UPF, 50SPF, 50 mega solor, whatever. Our shirts are tested and proven to protect 100% of the suns harmful uv rays.

Crazy how so many people here know so much about us, without ever seeing anything we have! Bashing on the internet = fishing for posers!

June 5, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterVince

Don't listen to em vince, you can't rationalize with anyone who preffers a beffy-t to a nice BREATHABLE ringspun cotton shirt. I own several swc shirts and they are very nice quality and fit like a real shirt should, not like the manufacturers only template is a giant square.
