SICK!!! Where is this Taylor River?

May 6, 2010 | Unregistered Commenterspeydog

Where's the Taylor? What do you live in a cave bro? Just another reason to live in CO.

Great, so glad to see we're going to promote the gravel rakers, oops I mean fly fishers that target spawning rainbows on the Taylor.

May 6, 2010 | Unregistered Commenterphishman

Phishman your an ass, if you've ever fished the taylor you would know that the public water there is very limited and gets fished way to hard. These fish are smarter then the average fish and will move into the flats to feed, even during spawning season, because of their keen ability to identify and avoid a fisherman's fly. This fish was not sight fished!!! It was actively feeding in a large deep hole. There is no promoting of targeting spawning fish here, we are conscious fisherman that will avoid wadding in the flats this time of year to protect the redds. Just cuz the rest of the area is blown out and muddy doesnt mean we can't fish the one tailwater within 50 miles, regardless of spawning fish or not!!

Nicely done!!

May 6, 2010 | Unregistered Commentermax

"Phishman your an ass..." I think you mean you're, as in you are.

"...gets fished way to hard." I think you meant too, as in excessively.

"...conscious fisherman that will avoid wadding in the flats..." I think you mean wading, not wadding. Wadding is a bunch of soft material one might use to pack something fragile, like your argument for fishing to spawners.

I find it ironic your name is Wordson given your apparent lack of skill at choosing them. As for your argument, justify it any way you want, I still think it's unethical.

Phishman
Aren't the rainbows done spawning? and why is it everyone here or atleast one or two has to hate on people? Leave fisherman alone and quit being a stuck up ass

May 6, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterLp

phish, do you even fish the Taylor? How do you know that they were spawing when he caught that fish? That water has fish in the size class accessable every day of the year. They are tough to catch, but they are always there. They dont just move up there to spawn. Your comment shows lack of intelligence on that particular fishery as well as poor character for calling someone out publicly without any evidence what so ever.

Nice fish Blake.

May 6, 2010 | Unregistered Commenterphishman sucks

Chalk up a nice one for Dr. Seuss.

Another beast of a fish, May is shaping up to be a battle of the titans!

May 6, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterAC

Phishman, nice work, broseph. You got called you on your shit and the best you could do was take a swipe at his spelling? I loved your attempt to relate it to anything relevant. Why does he need (or anyone else who posts a picture like this) to justify their actions?? I'm sure you've never fished the Taylor - or in Colorado for that matter so you're basing your bullshit remarks on the fact that it's a rainbow and that it was caught in May. Do the world and its inhabitants a favor and STFU. /rant

That is a chunker of a fish and I'm diggin' the knit beanie! It's always rad to see someone so genuinely stoked out of their minds with an awesome catch.

Is it just me, or does that fish have a really scared look in its eyes.

May 6, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterDax Xanos

all comments should be aimed at the clown holding that fish. hey brah!
just fuckin' around. nice phish, i mean fish

May 6, 2010 | Unregistered Commenterdanimal

Well... I netted this fish for him, so if anyone is curious of the size, it measured 29 1/2 X 16 1/2 and weighed in the 14-15 pound range. She was an absolute butte, and It was our duty of being consciously aware to the possibility of her being pregnent to provide her with a quick catch and release. He fought, caught, and released this fish perfectly with literally no harm done. We only took two photos (one in the water, and one in his hands) and had controle of her for less than a minute. So "Phishman", before you start rambling about how much better you think you are at fishing than everyone else, I would like to formally invite you to make a visit to Gunnison, Colorado and proove your justification. I would love to laugh at your frutration of trying to catch A fish on the Taylor C&R while Blake, Wordson, and I consistently catch fish in the 5-10 pound range all day.

Anyhoo, the fish was amazing and I was so stoked to be a part of it!!! Fish of a lifetime!!

May 6, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterChristian

I think Phishman and other internet Losers like the negative attention they receive from their comments, since no what else really cares about their thoughts or opinions in real life. Phishman and the other haters are just trying to get attention any way they can. Yes, Phisman, your real life is really that lame. If he caught the fish of his lifetime, I am sure he would also take a photo and probably send it in to moldychum.

Anyways, I like to take pictures of scenery, fish, and sometimes pictures with people in them -
it helps me to remember. Is that strange?

May 6, 2010 | Unregistered Commentermilwaukee

can it wild trout. wherever the fuck that tailwater is you can have it. real men fish freestones. just another reason for you to stay in CO

Glad to finally see some backlash, the incessant grilling of every guy with a nice fish was starting to ruin this site for me.

Beautiful fish, but the jury is still out on the hat. Unless grandma made it for him I think we've got a hippie on our hands.

May 6, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterFish'n Terp

ya got your green cards in CO? those eyes would suggest you do. you'll need it for the arthritis that toad is gonna give ya. nice work

May 6, 2010 | Unregistered Commenterstoned?

WOW! So much negativity. You guys just keep arguing, and I'll sit back and enjoy the fish. Thanks to everyone who have positive responses. Catching this fish truely was an awesome experience!!

And yes.. I know... I look like a kook and need to get rid of the winter hairdo. Haha

May 6, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterBlake

Just givin ya shit. This site is full of haters. any minute now some steelhead prick will criticize your fish handling ability....

May 6, 2010 | Unregistered Commenterstoned

Stoned... not worried about it man. My only response is: Yes, it is ColoRADo, and that green stuff flows harder than the winter runoff. haha

May 6, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterBlake
