hey !, we've seen much worse. while not perfect, I'll bet that fish is still swimming based on the hold. Yes, it's too high above the water, but no gill, the water is super cold, and I'm sure the fish recovered fine. Thanks for the self-righteous hate. Nice fish Adam.
Reading some of these comments makes me want to go kill a fish. No reason, just because this freaking fish worship is getting old. Be wise and conserve the resource - I agree. Valuable reproducers should always be put back. However, taking a fish from a stream that can support some take is not goin to destroy the resource.
For the record - I haven't taken a fish in years except for those that may have died after release.

I must say the angler that sits on moldy chum waiting for his shot to be the first to hate on someone for the way they present a fish is getting a bit old. though handling is VERY important i tend to think many fish presented in such a manner continue just fine. i look forward to the next comment about how we all suck for what ever reason. get a life. go fish with your like minded friends and hate on each other. oh and go look up the definition of self absorbed as you sit around and talk about how great your day of fishing was.

Hey, wow.......another trout wins the SOTM! Unbelieveable. You trout fags make me vomit on my boardshorts! Open your eyes and see the diversity this world offers and maybe next time you wont be so closed minded when you vote. Go catch any saltwater fish and see how tough they are and perhaps gain some appreciation.
Well maybe this guy got the sympathy vote cause he has the Downs Syndrome......still I'm tired of seeing only the Salmo species here.
