Surreal as it is, I think this is a very lucid piece of art that speaks to the irony of how we get our food these days. It says that we as people have moved away from gathering our own food, a method that tends to yield food of higher quality, and have instead opted for processed foods at a grocery story. We tend to kid ourselves into believing that we still have a primal relationship with food by at least getting out of the house and getting it ourselves, but opposed to getting food from a natural world we are merely floating in a sea of crap. Good stuff.
