‘Trout Fishing In America’ Revisited

On Sunday, Richard Brautigan’s groundbreaking 1967 novel “Trout Fishing In America” will be re-released to mark the iconic 1960’s counterculture writer’s 75th birthday.
In this report from NPR, former poet laureate Billy Collins, who wrote the introduction to the re-release, explains why this book was so important.

one crazy dude
A genius, the fly fishing Hunter S. Thompson
Almost forgot, he sorta looks like Mark Twain too..............
I found this in the library at my elementary school and read it at the age of, oh, 10 or 11. Hoe it got there is perplexing unto itself. Hoping to find great fish stories (despite the already "random" cover), I was thrown one hell of a curve ball and I still remember how baffled I was. More baffling was how I loved it.
