Oil and watercolor portrait artist Rebecca Haydock

I really like this piece called, Bonefishing in Belize. Available as a giclee, this piece, as well as her other fly fishing inspired work, are available on Rebecca's website.  LINK

Thank you for your comment about my work. I'm busy preparing for a new commission of a Tetons flyfisherman landing a nice trout in my new studio in Chapel Hill, NC. Best for the new year and good catchin'!

sit up straight and listen people:
Rebecca Haydock is awesome. i found a tiny little color study from a painting she did of brookie markings on the web (i think it is the main shot on her website). now, i am not exactly a patron of the arts, but i bought it because it was so cool. i got to talking to her and looked at the Belize panting in the post above and eventually commissioned her to do an oil painting of my kids throwing rocks in the waves near north point on block island. bonus: progress picture was emailed to me along the way when it was nearly completed and the painting was leaning up against a bookcase stacked with fishing books. anyway, working with her was great and the painting is spectacular. even if it weren't my kids. this is a fact.
