It's Miller Time: April Slab of the Month Winner
Friday, May 8, 2009 at 6:54AM
Craig Miller breaks the April slab of the month drought with this 48 inch southwest Virginia musky.
Sweet mother of God - April was a feverish here at Chum headquarters. It rained slabs. And, our decision was tough as hell. In the end, Miller prevailed with this beast. Craig - your copy of Hustle and Fish is on the way.
May is shaping up to be fairly sick as well. Bring your slabs to us at moldychum@reelpure.com .

Wicked awesome. Might be as nice a picture as Wendy Wiliamson's fish a few years back.
Sweet.

what the hell did he do, drag that thing through a trash bag?!?
in the heat of the moment, my fishing partner failed to mention the few leaves that had stuck to the fish as i lifted it out of the water. our main focus was getting the fish back into the water as quickly as possible, and not maincuring the fish for the perfect shot, such as the 60 plus pic steelhead trainwreck from a month or two ago...
thanks moldychum for the honor of april's 2009 sotm!!!!!
What fly?
the fly was a 10" marabou and deer hair snake...
