Critically acclaimed documentary Low and Clear has been officially released on iTunes and is available for the first time in HD.

Van Zandt and Alex "Xenie" Hall, on a Winter fly-fishing trip to British Columbia where they learn they've grown apart in more ways than one. J.T., the thoughtful son of songwriting legend Townes Van Zandt, believes there's more to fishing than catching fish. Short-tempered Xenie sees it differently and fishes with a passion bordering on madness. Spokane Premier of Low and Clear

Fishy Movie Night - Tonight!

Yes, you could stay home tonight and watch the first of the three Presidential debates. But since you already know who you're going to vote for, head down to the Galaxy Theater in Gig Harbor tonight for Gig Harbor Fly Shop's screening of Low and Clear and River as Spirit: Rebirth of the Elwha.

In addition to the fine films and craft suds from 7 Seas Brewing, there will be a raffle featuring a Scott Fiberhammer switch rod graciously arranged for by Cameron at The Fiberglass Manifesto, as well as some very nice Patagonia gear.

The films start at 7:00 and tickets are available for $10 in the shop, and $12 at the door.

The debut feature documentary film by Finback Films, LOW & CLEAR is now in-stock and available for purchase exclusively from the FINBACK FILMS website.

The trailer for LOW & CLEAR won the 2010 Drake “Movie of the Year” award and the full-length 70-minute documentary went on to premiere at the 2012 SXSW Film Festival where it won the “Audience Award.”  The film continues to screen at top international film festivals including Hot Docs and True/False receiving much critical acclaim.

The DVD includes the 70-minute feature film, a behind-the-scenes documentary MAKING LOW & CLEAR, deleted scenes, and the short film NORTHWOODS.

LOW & CLEAR was filmed using a RED 4K Digital Cinema camera and the DVD features 5.1 Surround Sound.

Finback Films is currently negotiating with distributors and plans include a limited theatrical release, VOD, and online streaming on iTunes by the end of 2012.  The DVD will also be available at retail locations and fly shops everywhere.
