BookFinder.com has just released their annual “BookFinder Report” on the 100 most sought after out-of-print books in America and Fly Fishing by J.R. Hartley is on the list.
This is the book from the classic 1980's Yellow Pages TV advert which featured J.R. himself traipsing around London looking for his old book. Neither the book, nor J.R. Hartley actually existed at the time of the commercial. Due to the popularity of the ad, a spoof memoir by the fictional Mr. Hartley was published in 1991 and it's the spoof of the out-of-print book which is on the most sought after book list.

No strike indicators were used in the making of this movie...but we did have a helicopter.
Nine youngsters from the Bristol Bay region took part in the 2010 Bristol Bay Fly Fishing and Guide Academy sponsored in part by Trout Unlimited Alaska and the Nushagak-Mulchatna Wood-Tikchik Land Trust. The goal of the academy was to train local youth to work in Bristol Bay's lucrative sport fishing industry and to become conservation ambassadors for their beautiful but threatened region.
