Fly Fishing by J.R. Hartley is sought after once more

BookFinder.com has just released their annual “BookFinder Report” on the 100 most sought after out-of-print books in America and Fly Fishing by J.R. Hartley is on the list.

This is the book from the classic 1980's Yellow Pages TV advert which featured J.R. himself traipsing around London looking for his old book. Neither the book, nor J.R. Hartley actually existed at the time of the commercial. Due to the popularity of the ad, a spoof memoir by the fictional Mr. Hartley was published in 1991 and it's the spoof of the out-of-print book which is on the most sought after book list.

Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry spoof the original ad.
