The Plastiquarium is immersed in mystery. Modern myth suggests that a century of increasing phosphate levels in Earth's marine environment caused new, synthetic life forms to emerge. As recyclable HDPE plastic containers spread concentrates of consumer product pollutants, the Plastiquarium creatures evolved in the image of their packaging forbearers. LINK

Fresh Art

Artist and friend Mike Savlen recently posted some great new work on his Fresh Art blog and Facebook page. Mike who had moved away from the technical detail illustration genre due to it's creative limitations says he is enjoying the break from the big brushes. Doesn't hurt that he's chasing his subjects and surf breaks everyday from his new studio in Costa Rica.
