After years as a pediatrician in Salt Lake City, Dr. Gill Saunders began hand carving trout from aspen logs as a way to combine his love of fly fishing with his need to create.

The wood for Jack's sculptures is harvested form standing dead trees that would otherwise go unused. The fins are hand cut from recycled tin.
