The Swordfish

Jack Boulware's personal tale about attempting to bring a relatively fresh swordfish beak back in to the States from Chile.

At the Santiago airport, I check my bag, and the airline guys behind the counter ask what’s sticking out of my backpack. I tell them, and they chuckle. “You’re never going to get that through customs,” one says. I smile and think to myself, This is a challenge I accept.
