I agree with Jake. Perhaps he could take his knowledge of Thoreau, buy a GoPro, get his wife to finance the trip, and make a real fish film ?
If his wife has enough money he wouldn't need to include the product shots !
Maybe Moldy Chum could throw in a few bucks like they did in Geofish. But wait I think they got a sort of a product shot or two for that didn't they ?
David Lynch says it straight up and I agree, but how will these "epic" fly fishing movies get funding otherwise?

you could also add this lil phrase, "i know its cliche to say this, but its not about the destination. Its about the journey" the only way to say this is to say, "i know its cliche to say this is cliche, but the cliched phrase-'its the journey not the destination' is a cliche.
